Yes! The Alliance is a great way to get to know your neighbors and the people in your area. It is the best way to get in the community quickly and establish yourself as a leader.
This is exciting news! We encourage you to attend the events hosted by that Ambassador to get a better feel for Alliances. How are they running their event? What’s working? What’s not?
Also consider if it would be a better option for yourself to become a part of this team as opposed to starting your own. Does this Alliance cover your area? Are people already engaged and happy? Are you far enough away that it would be better for two separate Alliances? These are all great things to consider as you go through training and attend their events. See the Q on "What's the deal with Co-Ambassadors?" to learn more.
We are so excited to hear that business is booming! Recognizing your limits is a very strong quality of a leader. We recommend waiting it out till you can dedicate the necessary time to growing your alliance and building relationships. In the mean time, join alliances in your area and get involved there! If there are none, try joining some virtual events!
Whenever you feel ready you can apply or re-apply, and we can either get you set up with your own Alliance or you may be able to join an existing one as a Co-Ambassador.

But more importantly, a few of the intangible benefits:
By being the catalyst that brings people together and creates meaningful events, people will respect you and know your name in the area
In a minimum, 1-2 hours per week is asked of Ambassadors for at least 12 months. That being said, the more time that is put in, the more members are engaged and the faster benefits of leading an Alliance come back to the Ambassador. Word of Mouth and Referral marketing lie on the basis of relationships - which take a while to nurture. Ambassadors understand the difference between playing the long game vs. making a quick buck.
Co-Ambassadors are highly, highly encouraged for all of the benefits they offer. They are an addition to your Alliance team and share all of the same responsibilities and recognition of Ambassadors. The only difference between an Ambassador and a Co-Ambassador is that one person is operating solo and the other is operating as a team. A Co-Ambassador goes through the same application and training process and must maintain a premium membership. They, and any additional team members, can be added at any time to your Alliance.
While the list of responsibilities for being an Ambassador are not extensive, sharing them can ensure that your community is being engaged in as many ways as possible. Personally invite people, posting/commenting/liking, planning events, and hosting events are all examples of responsibilities that can be shared. Co-Ambassadors are also wonderful for when life happens and you are unable to make an event so it does not have to be canceled.
To find your Co-Ambassador we encourage you to reach out to people who you feel would be a good fit. But we also may get an application in from someone who is interested in your area. If this is the case, we reach out first individually to know if you are comfortable with this person then make a connection.
Think local! The most successful Alliances are those that have at least 30 dedicated people coming over and over rather than 600 people stopping by once.
We’re glad you’re excited to hear back about your application! Ambassador applications go through a manual process to be looked over with care. Please give some grace to our team reviewing the applications and you’ll hear back from them soon. Typically this could be an additional 48-72 business hours.
We require Ambassadors to be on an upgraded tier of at least a Premium membership.
In doing so, Ambassadors are able to fully utilize all the benefits from the platform and show their investment and belief in it. Upgrading to Premium ($30/month) gives Ambassadors additional communities and outreach on the back end, additional connection credits, and powerful profile & post analytics so they can track engagement.
